Whats up everybody. I hope all is well with all of you. I picked up Metal Gear's newest edition this past weekend. After the Rainbow 6 debacle I figured it best to try the new titles before i start dropping recommendations. The verdict is still out on Metal Gear. The biggest change is the movement. It's hard to explain but it's way different than what we are use to but it does have some really kewl features. I've only logged about 6 hours of playing time so after i do some more investigating i'll report back.
Ciao

A few more days of playing and the game is starting to wear on me. Like i've stated before, the way your character moves in game is weird, but i'm getting use to it and actually liking it. The nades are different you can't get killed by a single nade, it would take multiple nades to kill someone. So the game comes down to gun battles and teamwork. Teamwork helps because the health bars are ridiculous. It takes a lot of shots to kill someone but if your working with someone the extra fire power really helps drop the enemy faster. Either that or shot'em in the forehead.
As for weapons on thing they've done is added dreben points, which is basically cash for killing people. When you respawn if you've killed enuff you can upgrade your weapon with sights, silencers, nade launchers etc. I find the M8 and the G3A3 are really nice guns but they cost a ton of loot and when you die it's gone. Dreben points are only available on certain games and modes. Not every map has dreben points. Some maps only let you use the base guns without letting you add shit.
Game modes are similar to Cod4 and other fps's. I've really only messed around in team deathmatch. There are quite a few different game modes. As for maps there are quite a few i've yet to play so i'll report back on those when i have more info.
As far as playability and reliability the game has been great. I've yet to get disconnected. If you play it you'll see the changes they've made to help improve lag. I've yet to face any serious lag issues or disconnects. I'm very very impressed with the playability of this game. It ranks right up there with how well halo plays. KUDOS to Konami
